   We sincerely welcome you to join the“Green Land Bright Sky City Cup” the 12th Asian Veteran Table Tennis Tournament held at Foshan, China from Dec 6th to 9th, 2018. Foshan is a city with long history and famous culture. We also hope all participants can enjoy the beautiful scenery of Foshan after the competition, deepening the understanding of Chinese traditional culture, enhancing friendship between people of Asia-pacific countries. Regulations
1 Host: Foshan sports bureau
2 Organizer:   Foshan Table Tennis Association
3 Sponsor: Foshan Cai Guan Zhi Ye Limited Company
4 Co-organizer: Foshan Zhongao Square Management Limited Company
5 Authorization: Asian Veterans’ Table Tennis Federation
6 Competition location: Lingnan Ming Zhu Stadium, Foshan, Guangzhou, China.
7 Competition date: Dec 6th (Thursday) to 9th (Sunday)
8 Eligibility: players worldwide who are over 40 years old (Born before Dec 31st, 1978)
9 Events: Men’s Team and Women’s Team (age group 40, 50, 60, 70 and 80)

(1)Age group 40-49 MT and WT (birthday range 1969-1-1 to 1978-12-31)
(2)Age group 50-59 MT and WT (birthday range 1951-1-1 to 1968-12-31)
(3)Age group 60-69 MT and WT (birthday range 1949-1-1 to 1958-12-31)
(4)Age group 70-99 MT and WT (birthday range 1939-1-1 to 1948-12-31)
(5)Age group over 80 MT and WT (born before 1938-12-31)


Playing System
1 Team event will be divided into two stages: Round Robin for first stage (group champion and runner up progress to the 2nd stage). Progressive Knock Out for the 2nd stage to determine the 1st to 3rd place. The group 3rd and 4th in the Round Robin stage can voluntarily take part in consolation matches which will be a knock out to determine the 1st and 2nd place.
2 Except for age group over 80, all team events of other age groups will be played best of 5 matches for each set and best of five games for each match.
3 Men’s Team event adopts Swaythling Cup system
1st set: A VS X
2nd set: B VS Y
3rd set: C VS Z
4th set: A VS Y
5th set: B VS X
(Min team member: 2 players; Max team member: 3 players)

Women’s Team event adopts Corbillon Cup system
1st set: A VS X
2nd set: B VS Y
3rd set: Double
4th set: A VS Y
5th set: B VS X
(Min team member: 2 players; Max team member: 4 players)

3 For age group over 80, Men’s and Women’s Team event shall be played best of 3 sets for each team match, and best of 3 games for each set.
1st set: A VS X
2nd set: B VS Y
3rd set: Double
(Min team member: 2 players; Max team member: 4 players)
